Small Apartment Renovation
This project is a renovation of a small 18th-century upper east side apartment in Manhattan. By removing existing partitions and drop ceilings, and reorganizing circulation, the design creates a more generous and well-lit living space. The second bedroom is reconfigured to double as an office while preserving privacy and increasing available storage space. The entry is reoriented to create a small foyer and large bookcase wraps an entire corner of the living room.
Simple materials and natural finishes are used throughout.
