Domino Square opens to the public. A new one-acre civic space in the heart of Brooklyn’s waterfront we designed in collaboration in collaboration with Field operations for Two Trees Management. It’s a layered project that hybridizes public space, a retail arcade and water infrastructure.

Public Plaza Design Competition in New York City
The project calls to design and build a highly visible temporary landmark at the heart of the Flatiron District. Happy is sponsored by the Van Alen Institute and the Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership, and developed in collaboration with Silman engineers and Youngbuk Art Services
This site specific installation opens Nov 19th at the public plaza in front of the iconic Flatiron Building on 23rd St. & 5th Ave. It will be on view through Jan 2nd.

New Local/Manufacturing, an event that Benjamin Cadena has co-organized with Miriam Peterson of P.R.O, to explore the future of manufacturing in cities and what new typologies can allow making to mix, hybridize, and co-exist as an integral part of neighborhoods.
One of a three-part series titled New Local: Finding Ground within Global Uncertainty, sponsored by AIANY's New Practices Committee in collaboration with Arup, A/D/O, MINI Living, and Pratt Institute. Examining locality and its conditions, the series bring together designers, engineers, policy makers, community leaders, entrepreneurs, developers, housing advocates, and engaged citizens to exchange and generate ideas to shape the future of making in New York City.
