Wired Lamp

A lamp made with repurposed speaker wire coiled on itself to form a triangular shade.

Anything can be made out of anything. We’ve always been interested in using common materials in uncommon ways to transform them into something special. Speaker wire, with it’s clear plastic housing that reveals its copper core, is quite beautiful. But now, we’re going wireless. It’s a small desk lamp that harks back to a more wired way of life while providing a rich and flattering glow.

The lamp was commissioned for the exhibition “Re-Source” at the
Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York.
